Lyana Klara is a photographer and visual artist from Washington, D.C. She studied photography at the University of Westminster in London and has a background in painting and printmaking. Working across both constructed and observational photography, her practice is informed by an interest in cinematic imagery, color, and the psychological possibilities of the photographic medium.

Her work explores themes of isolation, memory, dreams, and the unconscious, often using darkness and surreal imagery to blur the boundary between internal and external worlds. Klara approaches photography as both a means of observation and a way of transforming ordinary experience into something unfamiliar.
